I had this exact issue. Front driver's side floor wet. Could not find a leak in the floor after extensive searching. Then Noticed the water was flowing from the rear of the truck. Then found a large gap between the body and the rear glass, upper driver's side. Like a gap you could fit a screwdriver through. Filled the hole with silicone and have been dry every since.

Would this be possible in a double cab? To have water enter through the rear and end up in the front drivers (or passengers) foot well?

It happened with my Access Cab. The water ran along the wiring channel just beneath the plastic sill. So maybe that is your problem.
Just take the interior trim off that is around your rear glass and have someone spray the hose while you look for water coming in. That's how I ultimately found my leak.

Did this drip out of the driver side grab handle on the A pillar? I had wet dripping from there onto the driver's floormat. It might just be me, but, seemed to be hearing new air noises in the same area at highway speed right after?

Mine was leaking around the rear window. I don't have any leaks around my A-pillar.

Agree that it is quite the odd problem. Like how links to tear apart the offending area are here. Has only happened once so far with me. Wonder if Weathertec vent shades, frame replacement or maybe just age have anything to do with it? Driving my 2005 TRD off road access cab...

I know this is an old thread but wanted to share my water leak on passenger floor under the weathertech floor mat that I found. It took me awhile but I finally found my leak. I thought it was from the cowl but on further inspection for some odd reason (possibly body repair) I found on the front of the passenger front door seal that goes around the door itself was folded and pinched on the a pillar between the body and the door near where the front fender meets the door. I had to replace the complete door seal on the door and all is good now. I hope this helps someone! This is the part i replaced today. https://www.oempartsquick.com/oem-p...5PTIwMTEmdD1wcmUtcnVubmVyJmU9NC0wbC12Ni1nYXM=
