Found a 2015 Tacoma 4x4 2.7L SR 5 speed with 33k miles on it. Previous owner put a Toytec Boss lift kit on it and a Hurst shifter. The rear was done with blocks rather than AAL. Truck drives well, engine compartment looks brand new. Any advice on what problems to look for or trouble areas to check out?

The other option I found is an all stock "used" 2017 with only 600 miles on it. Other than the obvious of being lower miles and basically brand new, is the 2017 that much better?

    Thanks
    Craig

Welcome aboard:hattip:. I have a 2015 DCLB and love it. My friend has a 2017 and loves it just as much. As for being that much better depends on what you want.

    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

2nd Gen hands down, based on nothing but TacomaWorld experience. Have you looked at the 3rd gen subforum? Yikes.

If it was me, I would get the one with 600 miles on it and stay away from the one the owner modified.
