I wish I could wear the 30day ones where you don’t take them out, but I know my eyes would get way too dry way too quick

Haha... you guys are lightweights. I'm -11 and -10.5 diopters with corneas too thin for any kind of laser correction. I've been wearing glasses and/or contacts in some form for 55 years. The best contacts for me were Acuvue Moist, which I could wear two days, sleeping in them overnight.

I'm done with contacts by choice now. Lens replacement surgery is now available to anyone who wants or needs it. I had both eyes done a while back. Nothing to it, simple 30min. procedure, no pain or discomfort whatsoever, and I can see better!

I work in front of computers all day. I can’t wear them while I work or Ill be dry eyed within a few hours. I wear glasses to work, and mostly at home on weekends. But if I know im going somewhere I want to enjoy like Disneyland or the range, I wear my contacts and Im golden all day.

So I got the lazer when I was in college, my parents healthcare refunded the cost 100%, it was literally an opportunity that was going to fly by and would cost me 6 grand after if I did it myself. Did some research and found a place within an hour that had a good reputation, as my dad said "You only get two eyes and they won't grow back".

They told me they would give me some sort of chill pill before hand, which they didn't. I ended up looking all over, trying to avoid the lazer etc... Ended up taking a few minutes when it was supposed to be a 15 second per eye thing. Well, when you look away the lazers stop automatically I guess, so that wasn't an issue. I did have a ton of pain for a day after though which most people don't get, and i think it was because I took so long.

I have had my father, best friend and his mother do it since that i know, and they all had no pain and it went very well. If you can afford it, do it. It will change your life for the better and is so worth it it isn't even funny.

Well I’m not a candidate anyways so it’s a mute point for me, but that’s good info to know for those who are.

I can see staring at a computer for hours on end drying ya up, due to decrease in blinking. Do you practice the 20second look away method?

This is quite accurate as I was in an end cube with a window to the outside world just at the end!
