I've got some side steps that came with my truck (purchased preowned). Never really cared for them and I'm wanting to get rid of them. Looks like they're bolted into the body. Is there something I should fill the holes with or would it be ok just to remove them and let them be as is?

if you live in a salty rust environment, put the mounting bolts back in the holes with some anti seize. The trucks come from the factory with bolts in the holes, so if you leave them out you will expose the holes to possibly retaining moisture etc

South Texas, so the salt isn't a concern, unless I hit up the coast. I'll just put the bolts back in.

be sure to put some anti seize on them. I know if you decide to hit up the beach and get little wet ya never know if that might start a corrosion issue down there.

They have plastic plugs you can use as well. That's my advice
