Thank you sir! They fit perfectly! They ride a hole lot better too. Once I add the cage and winch I think they will ride perfect.

Got some Kings knocked out for a local LT 2nd gen, added some Fox DSC resi's to them. I can add the Dual speed adjusters to any 2.0 and 2.5 resi shocks, Pm for pricing and availability.

I'm going to try and get up there for the hoses if you'll have me. I picked up the Icons you rebuild for @EAF 4runner. I imagine I'll need valving and springs to make the 2 different brands work well together.

I think I still have those hoses floating around and should be able to get them on.

Don't overthink it without tossing them on and seeing how it rides first. IMO I doubt you will even notice they are different brand of shocks.

AZ guy here, but since I was doing some searching on Fox 2.0's I came across your thread!

I recently picked up (and cleaned up) these bad boys:

They're hand me downs with a decent amount of mileage on them, and one is leaking pretty bad. Time for a rebuild then!

I am a bit confused though. The bottom cap where the shaft goes in has no sort of holes for a spanner or anything- are they not threaded? Like would you just pop them out with a special tool or something??

Second, is it a worthwhile endeavor to convert these to remote resi? As in, even with the extra parts cost would I still come in at under the $240/side retail cost for a new set?
Am I mistaken in the impression that all you really need is a competent shock guy to drill and tap the bodies for the line and then pull the IFP out?

Drop those off at sdhq for a rebuild and run them. NOT worth it for a new body from fox to covert to remote resi or paying labor to add the orb port.

Yeah I’m getting a pretty unanimous answer on adding resis to make frankenfoxes. I figured it was worth exploring at the very least.

I’m still stumped by those bottom caps though, every shock rebuild video I have found shows there being holes to engage a tool into.

Could you post a pic of how/where you have the resi mounted? I got Fox 2.5 resis (designed for Tundra) on my 4th gen 4R rear, and they only have ~12” of hose and are mounted on the frame by the tire and get rubbed even with Spidertrax spacers. Thanks!

With the extended hose you put it completely behind. I added a p-clip to hold the hose.
