Don’t know if anyone answered you, but I installed it on my prinsu rack. I currently don’t have a pic since it’s in the shop right now and won’t get it back til Wednesday, but the frontrunner jerry cann mount uses Tnuts which goes into the bars

Anyone have their spare tire mounted on their prinsu rack? I'm looking for a way to place it up there, preferably without drilling any new holes as I'll get a swing out in the future.

Is the best way to mount maxtrax still to use their pins and drill some holes on the crossbars?

I finally bought an L.E.D. light bar. I went with Blackoak LED 40". The vision I had was for the light bar to be behind the wind deflector but also below the 1st load bar. There were no brackets that would give me the look I wanted so I made aluminium brackets to make it happen. See below pics hope this helps.

I would take the aluminum angle route. It's available at any hardware store. Pics are on page 1 of thread.

Why did you cut your edged weather strip so short? It's suppose to go from end to end.

I dont think there is any reason to have it at each emd where wind still goes through cause design. Probably why he did it. I left mine all the way but there is no difference in arodynamics

I still have to do the wiring, but I mounted my 100 watt solar panel today. It is a tight fit, but I think it will work just fine. The panel sits below the bars but clears the roof. So in a pinch, I can still mount items over the panel and not have them touch/rub.

Do you by chance have a writeup on this? I was thinking of doing something similar with my prinsu.

I still need to do the actual wiring, but I'll try to put together a cumulative write-up when I am finished. Hoping to finish in the next 2-3 weeks.

Best in my opinion is using some 1/4-20 carriage bolts slid into the t slots. I wasn’t desperate to drill new holes or fabricate a new mount and this has worked great for probably 10,000 miles.

1/4-20 carriage bolts are a perfect fit, FWIW.

Wing nuts with nylon bolts is a good idea - I hadn’t thought of that.

Nice and easy. I suppose you could throw on a couple small cable locks for security.
