Potential Mod Day on April 7th in Tyler followed by a trip to Barnwell for a overnight trip as a Pre-Jambo Shakedown Run!

Will be starting the work on Friday and finishing it on Saturday. Will be putting in the ECGS Clamshell as well as replacing UCAs on the truck.

So if anyone wants to come out to Tyler and then go to Gilmer for a little Pre-jambo fun. Let me know!

 

Two seals installed right meow

 

I am not crazy about those but at that price hard to turn down, didn't know they went down

 

Passenger side seal is bad. I used a 2 inch pvc coupler with a cap to drive it in square. Be very careful because if you drive it in 1/8 more than where it’s supposed it will leak like crazy. Ask me how I learned that.

 

yeah I have done it before on other vehicles, but heard factory sealant on these trucks is a bitch, I don't want to deal

 

I posted this in a 1st Gen forum but wanted to share with you guys. I'm also getting in to the woodworking scene. In case there are any other woodworkers out there with cool ideas or good starter projects.

 

Good tip! I used a PVC coupler to drive the seal in when I did the driver side. Oddly enough, I already had it in my toolbox. The axle seal is exactly the same size as a front crank seal for a 7M engine. I'm due for 60k service on Saturday and have "lifetime" powertrain warranty from Toyota of Denton. Maybe I'll mention the leaking and see what they say.

Dont know anyone local but if i had to do it again i would gladly pay way too much to have it done by someone else. Not a fan of any of the current aftermarket offerings. Trying to talk myself into a set of pro tail lights right now...

At least you 3rd gen's have some options noting but cheese dick ricer lights for the 2nd gen.

Would any of y’all with 2nd gens be able to meausre the inside frame width at the very end of the frame

 

Might have to order those since its 1/2 the price
