I just bought a 2011 Tacoma, and there was a Ziploc bag with this boot in it that came with it. What is it?

    Boot pic 2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j0gaon8a_2hJmwm2WlN4lnWZ_ztILrhY/view?usp=sharing

Also, this sensor is just hanging out in front of the battery, and I have no idea what it is. Any help here would be appreciated as well.

    Sensor pic 2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZRbuT28ZBwgw3OJwgj7-JV9yOltXP1dA/view?usp=sharing

And lastly, why would this ground wire be cut from the battery terminal? I should re-clamp it to the terminal, right?

Thank you guys for the help!

I have that same ground on my first gen 3.4. Not really sure what it does but I’d reconnect it and see what happens

Boot pic 2 looks like a headlight bulb gasket.
    Sensor might be ambient temp?
Ground wire should be connected, yes.

The sensor should be the impact sensor for the air bags.
