I hope most if not all were under warranty and cost you nothing.

I had that happen to me at work on my electric golfcart..

I was in reverse and I switched it over to forward and gave it gas while still going backwards and she blew.

Was very loud and exploded right under my ass... It scared me.

Yea Interstate has good warranties. The car had a parasitic drain that I finally discovered was caused by her brother inlaw installing a stereo system and not disconnecting the factory amp.

Now if Toyota could only find a way to make their frames outlast the batteries. ;)

Looks pretty dry, may have lasted a little longer with a top off of distilled water?

I got 10 years out of my OEM battery, no alternators were replaced. I actually just replaced the battery because it was getting weaker and winter was coming...

We all know what happens when winter is coming....

The last 5-6 years its had a battery tender on it most of the time. The color indicator on the battery just went from green to yellow(ish) in September. It always turn the engine over just fine.

The night before, I gave some one a jump start (with a battery pack). I told the guy, I always carry it because I expect my battery to die any time now.

In addition to the alts, the frame was replaced. The first alternator seized, I hadn't used it in several months and when I tried to start it-the alternator didn't move and shredded the belt in the process. Back when gas was $3.50+/gal, I bought a car and the truck sat for months at a time.

    I thought the same thing.

The hood does have a small dent in it.

After it blew up the lights still worked and the radio.
