Looks like you just used a regular drywall screw for that? It may work itself loose over time.
You could try a bolt with a locknut under the truck. I've also seen some people jsut use velcro under the amp.

oh nice man! I haven't decided on what speakers I will go with yet, there are so many options hahaha I think I'm going to put 3 way speakers up front and just eliminate the little tweeters. but that idea may change as they usually do! you have an amp running your speakers eh? that must sound pretty bad ass! what HU are you running? and now that I take a second look at the picture I do see the screws! did you run into any issues with the air bag wires? I'm thinking I might because if I remember correctly mine come up right in the middle under the seat? they might be closer to the front which I'm hoping for :fingerscrossed: also, does ur seat have that cross bar at the back end? if so did u have to flip it upside down?

Yep, I have an alpine amp pushing my 4 speakers, plus the 2 tweeters. It sounds awesome, but def lacked bass. The hideaway sub def makes up for that.

I have a Kenwood double din, touchscreen, with android auto. It is pretty awesome. Highly suggest.

I took the seat out to put the sub in and wire it. It fit perfectly, I didn't have to touch or move anything!

right on man, sounds like a great set up! I'm not going to bother using an amp to power the new speakers, not right away anyways hahaha right now I have the double din Alpine AVH-X2800BS which suits my needs just fine and I have been more then happy with  hopefully my install goes as flawlessly as yours :fingerscrossed:

I went with the Rockford Fosgate P8, used Velcro for mounting under the drivers seat. I really like this unit. I don't care for window rattling bass, just some good filling bass. It also came with a remote gain control.

never heard of Rockville before but the specs look good, didn't see any warranty information tho. when it comes to audio I would stay with a known company but they may make good stuff I'm not overly involved into the audio game hahaha I will add it to the list I was making in one of my previous posts

Yeah, I found them on Amazon looking for the low profile stuff. It had a ton of very positive reviews. Possible to game Amazon reviews but I don't see the tell tale signs of that.

Also, on that Rockville unit: 90 day return, 1 year warranty, plus Amazon offers a 4 year full service plan for a little over $10. Given the low cost of the unit and the 400+ Amazon reviews it looks like it may be worth a try.

Would one of those sub's work well with the factory stereo? Really do not want to put a aftermarket one in.

I don't see why not, but the wiring would be a little more involved since the factory HU does not have RCA audio outputs on it. you would need whats called a Line Out Converter I believe.

I used the Kenwood in a 2003 Extended Cab. I put it under the drivers seat. I am running the factory headunit and speaker. Really nice- wired remote fits nicely in the pocket below the radio. All in it was a great addition- especially for the cost. I did not need to run a separate line out converter- Kenwood came with that. I bought one- you can have it for free if needed- if you go with one other than the Kenwood.

I’ve been looking at the JL Audio stealth box that comes with a w3 10”
It lets the rear seats fold up and down but is a pretty decent setup. Might also custom build one that makes it look like an extension of the drivers armrest, and basically create an armrest for the rear so I can put a 10” w6 in there.
See how theirs turns down? And for what??? No good reason...

I have the Sound Ordinance (Crutchfield private label) 8" amp under the passenger seat.

It does what you think it would. Fills in the low end somewhat with a tight bass.

It's not going to thump and bump nor will it rattle your teeth.
