This is a 2007 console from a 6 speed. Not sure if that matters. The latches and hinges are all good. Inside is clean. No cuts, tears, marks, or other damage. I did put some sound deadening material on the underside. $50 plus shipping from Arizona.DSCN0343_0197.jpg DSCN0344_0198.jpg DSCN0342_0196.jpg

I built a whole new center section out of aluminum to accommodate all my switches, twin sticks, aux circuit box, and other goodies.

Pics? Sounds cool, I’ve always wanted to replace my center console with something custom.

Here is a quick snapshot. The organizer comes off and my Blue Sea aux fuse block is in a special compartment. There is also a hidden storage area. The whole thing is covered inside with sound mat. Switches for the compressor, front and rear lockers, and ditch lights. Two more to install when they come in. Also have switches for the seat heaters. The nice thing about building your own is getting exactly what you want. there is too little room in a Tacoma to waste 1 square inch!

Nice execution, your left stick doesn't compete for space with your right knee?

And what's going on with that shifter? Just a side saddle shift to the left and extension?

FJ case and what twin stick conversion did you use? I assume custom linkages to relocate the throws to either side of the trans shifter?

LOL, I figured someone would notice the shifters. I custom bent the T-case shifters to come through where they did. I started with a shifter set from RST. No, the Hi-Lo lever doesn't bother my right let at all. As for the 6spd shifter, I raced cars for many years. When I sit in the seat I want the shifter to come to me, not the other way around. I want it just off my right leg, and no reaching for 5th. Usually I just heat and bend the shifter until it suits me, but this crazy rubber filled thing doesn't allow that. The only way I could get the position I wanted was with an offset bar and a bent extension. I also have a URD short shifter in there. I have also modified the seat height and angle, clutch pedal, dead pedal, and the gas pedal. Everything was wrong. It's like whoever designed it never actually drove a car.

    I hear you man!

I also replaced my plastic clutch pedal with a steel FJ cruiser one and custom bent and positioned and cut and welded it to get it where and how a clutch pedal should be. For me anyway, the brake and gas never bothered me to much.

Currently I am using the shift lever from a 3rd gen 4Runner, it's solid and had a slight dog leg with less downward kant.

I'm planning on getting a Core Shifters SS shifter, that replaces the entire stick not just a leverage/pivot extension, then I can chop and weld as needed for height and angle.

I installed 3/8" of washers on my front seat mounts and used longer G10.8 bolts in the front to give my seat more of a backwards tilt helps keep my butt against the back and I don't have to push myself back up as much, I have a tendency to melt towards the floor in anything I sit in.

What did you do to change yours?

FJ case is next on my big mods list, planning on twin stick while I'm at it. Never seen them come out where yours do, I like it.

Been tossing the idea of a custom console for a while, might have to pull the trigger, yours came out nice, I couldn't live without a center arm wrest though.

Yes, the point is that you can't drive well in a car that doesn't fit anymore than you can run well in shoes that don't fit. There should be adjustments for pedal position and seat position at least. There is probably a Core in my future. The only reason I haven't is possible noise transmission. My truck is pretty noisy inside already.

Surprised you find yours noisy, my 2010 is the most quiet vehicle I've owned. It's no Mercedes but I'm happy.

Anyway good luck with the sale!

Common problem. No need to buy a whole console to get the latch. Somewhere here there is a write up on how to fix it with a couple screws. Also there is an aftermarket latch sold at the auto parts stores for pretty cheap.

How bout a build thread , sorry to get off topic but I want to see more. Just from the twin sticks and shifter I can tell it's going to be wicked awesome.
