Idk let's ask Toyotas fucking service department together, cause they don't know either. Spec for the filter canister is like 20 and the plug on the bottom is 9. I had to brace myself on my tire to unscrew that fucking thing, and the plug is seized, so...

    Stahp.

Plan is to replace it with the oem metal canister next change, which I can actually torque right. Tbh I don't care about the canister thing that much, just that I'll never be able to replace that little oring cause of the drain being stuck.

If only the whole canister weren't made of plastic, and the o ring made of rubber...

Brake lines came and will go to LBL in case of emergency but will otherwise wait until after to get put on. +3 in the front and +5 in the rear to accommodate some suspension movement.

Because everything is a fucking adventure, I got two different rear shocks. Both the correct length, but one has an adjuster and the other doesn't. So that's fun. I'd try to get them to send me another with an adjuster but I'd rather not role the dice. Shocks got put on tonight, thanks for the garage key @mwc273 .

I can go around corners without tugging on the shock mount so that's awesome. They also look good. Did groceries for LBL too but nobody gives a shit about that lol.

    LBL Journal 2018:

Day 1: 24 hour stomach bug! Sat out the convoy in favor of voiding my entire digestive tract! Shit coming out both ends was close to the same color as LBL mud so there's that....

Day 2: Got up, felt...meh, but not sick, packed up the cooler, went to LBL! Was about 45 minutes out and suddenly my ass end starts wiggling all over the road going 75 as I was passing someone. After wrestling the bitch to the side of the highway, I discover the two sheared studs on my driver rear spidertrax.

    IMG_20180318_222110_01.jpg IMG_20180318_222113_01.jpg

Best guess is my lugs walked off after doing the rear suspension Tuesday, and my wheel started wobbling enough to be bad news bears. One roadside surgery later:

    IMG_20180316_143255_01.jpg

And we were spacer free and back on the road!

Got to wheel some on day 2, mysteriously lost the black crash bar cover off my bumper that I don't care about cause the demello is less than a month out, went to sleep. 2am sideways thunderstorm rain forced me close the tent window, but other than that, it was good.

Day 3: wheeled all the places! Tried to take the line everyone had gotten stuck in on 357 instead of the easy (read: boring) line. Went about as well as expected.

    20180317_113000.jpg

Cause why the hell not? 100 people standing around waiting to help recover people, I knew the truck would walk through the easy line, may as well have some fun.

Got back, did some exploring then night wheeling.

    IMG_20180317_223242.jpg

Two thumbs up to that guy from me! Back to camp and sleep. At least until about 0230 when some asswagon decided to take his houseboat out of the lake and was fascinated enough by a RTT to shine his fucking light in it and yell to his friends about it...

Day 4: pack up, convoy home, nothing really exciting. Or so I thought. Shocks got reeeaaallll soft the last 20 minutes or so of the drive. Pull into the driveway to find this:

    IMG_20180318_184722.jpg
    IMG_20180318_184701.jpg

Driver side hose has completely separated from the body, passenger side is leaking BADLY. I specifically tried to give those hoses as much room as possible from the mount on install, evidently that wasn't enough. Still no idea how the hell the hose could have possibly moved with enough force to completely rip off on one side in the absence of some flaw. Currently have an email to Fox trying to make a warranty claim. Fingers crossed they don't fight me on it and just replace them.

It was some kind of weekend lol.

    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
You forgot to mention the tree you had jammed between lca and cv. Causing loss of clamp and requiring zip tie. Or the chainsaw chain you broke. :anonymous:

A few days ago, you told us that "trail damage = memories".

Sounds like an INCREDIBLY memorable weekend!

The things that made the weekend such a fucking joke weren't even trail damage. I don't give a shit about having to zip tie a CV boot or that dumb black pastic thing on my front bumper. But God it got fucking tiresome trying to have a good time when dumb shit was going wrong constantly from the moment I woke up Thursday morning to the moment I pulled into the driveway Sunday evening.

I am usually not one to bitch about circumstances because I know these are all 1st world problems (except food poisoning) but by last night I just wanted to scream 'give me a fucking break'.
