Ha! All of this is true. But, In my life, stuff like this takes as long as it takes. Though I think a couple more months will see it on the truck. Maybe not completely done but on the truck and usable.

Plus, you don’t get to come in here just now and chastise me about how long this has taken...think about all the other poor bastards that have been here since the beginning! Have a little compassion.

    So, what’s this all about?

Also, I’m finding that sandbags are wicked awesome for cargo management. Don’t underestimate a heavy, awkward, pliable item for holding stuff in place! The sandbags are in there to make the ride more comfortable. These all pro expo springs are stiff with nothing in the back! These four bags weigh about what my camper weighs right now. So an extra 200lbs on top of this should be Cadillac territory.

It’s actually not that cool. It’s the basis for my roof rack, side rack and rear rack. I’m goig to be all tracked up. I want to put three rails on the drivers side of the camper so we can easily mount our surfboards without having to get up on top of the truck. The rear racks will be for whatever...shovel, hi lift, rotopax??? The top rack will be used to help stabilise my awning when I get that plus we’ll put a cargo box up there or some kayaks or something. I just need to figure out how I want to mount it to the camper and then go through the tedious process of setting like 150 mounts to get all this track in place.

I got the fancy angled stuff with end caps because simple square edged stuff just doesn’t work for me.

Ran that on my camper shell. Also have it mounted in my truck bed too. No fancy end caps though.

The end caps are just going to be another fussy thing to install because they have their own fastener. I may just cut a leading edge bevel on the track and call it good. We’ll see when I get there.

Have you even read this thread? And if you’re attempting to be humorous, that’s cool...carry on. If you’re not then you can feel free to see yourself out. The rest of us are enjoying this lengthy journey of planning, fabrication, success, failure, bullshitting and community just because it’s fun.

Actually, you came in here, didn’t even read the thread, then proceeded to complain about how long it was taking me. Then, when called out by a lot of people who have been following this thread and providing helpful feedback and conversation since the beginning, you lashed out like a pre-teen boy. We would all appreciate it if you didn’t clog up my thread with garbage. Thanks.

If you ever feel like you can come in here and be a constructive member of this internet society, you will be welcomed openly.

Up to you OP, but if you’re so inclined I’m sure any mod would be happy to give this dude a permanent vacation from your thread.

Doesn't take much to move on to another thread if this one bores you, your criticism is less than constructive.
