Hey guys my first time on this forum and trying to help other Tacoma owners if I can. I’ve owned two Tacoma’s and same problem the steering vibrations. After years of trying the same as others I have come up with a fix for this problem we all share. On my 2002 Tacoma I placed a video camera under the truck while driving and noticed that the rack&pinion was dancing around side to side. I replaced the three bushings and the problem has disappeared. So the conclusion is that the rack bushings are causing the tire wear and make things whores as time goes by. And we all just keep buying tires. There are videos on YouTube that show you how to replace bushings with taking the rack down.hope it helps.
