Thinking of getting new tires for my truck. Im currently running 265 70 17 bfg ko2 load C on stock supension 16 trd sport dclb . Thinking of going to 255 80 17 Cooper ST Maxx. Any real world info on these in the snow and icy roads, 4x4 roads, road noise etc. Im assuming they should fit with no issues as there a hair smaller od than what im running now.

They're larger. They're good tires, quiet, good grip, not as "packed with technology" as Falken lol

they may be narrower but they're taller.

I dont know if they fit sport stock. But there's a lengthy thread on here how with stock wheels and suspension they will fit an Offroad.

Otherwise, they are a great tire. But be aware no matter how good they are in snow or ice they will still be worse than the cheapest winter tire.

    Stock for. Ow
IMG_0186.jpg There gonna be a little louder than the bfgs. Not unbearable though, these tires a hum to them. You can carry on a conversation in the cab with no problems. My old truck had them and still w/ 45k on the they were relatively quiet

They chew threw snow no problems. We had about 11.5 inches of snow in the picture above. Pretty decent grip in the ice. And they can be studded if need be

I say get them. You won't be going wrong

I'm running these Mud Coopers a lot. I do rotate on the stock wheels when I won't be off road for awhile. So far I don't go in really gooey stuff so I haven't pushed the limits. They have good puncture resistance, there's a lot of brush and cactus where I off road and I haven't had any damage yet where my buddies duratrac's seems softer and took some damage.

They are quieter, I get about 15mpg with them on. They stick decent in rain but I notice the highway tires are better at breaking when it's wet. I have the 17's your looking at on my 2017 sr5 and those 4Runner rims everyone has and they fit fine with no rubs.

I'd buy them again. I've put pics up here in some other thread.

Attention to detail fail, I've got the pro's

ST Maxx and STT Pro are two very different tires...and I would never run a M/T in the winter.
