    Carid.com says the HD Max will fit my 17' Tacoma, but Amazon says it will not. Amazon says only the HD sport will fit the 17' Tacoma. I prefer the MAX for obvious reasons. It has more room ! Can anyone confirm that the mattress will fit no truck question work

    Go to the manufacturers website and check. I believe AMP Research is the one Toyota rebrand. And if I remember correctly the HD MAX version on their site fits the 16-18.

    Get the HD Max. And please don't purchase from AMazon.

    I did this and when the page loads it says “Fits 2005 model tacoma” even though I put in 17 tacoma. No clue why it is doing this. I tried on my phone and on computer and it says brings up 2005! Some type of glitch

    I just installed the HD Max on my 2017. It fits just fine. The AMP brand extenders are pretty universal in fit. The width is adjustable.

    Pretty sure you have to remove the taillights, drill holes, and secure the mounting plate

    I downloaded and printed multiple copies of the template that way I could have both sides of the tailgate done. I aligned the dark line of the template edge with the front most edge of the area that you are supposed to drill. I also installed a Bedrug after installing the brackets. The Bedrug appears to have places in that same area that look like they are there to accommodate these brackets. Also, I went with the quick latches which turned out to be a good choice because the extender wont filp back with a Bak Revolver X4. It will go in the bed though and lock in the latches, just not flip over.

    I did not remove my tail lights. I was very careful and went slow with my drill when I was drilling the hole. As soon as I felt it starting to break through the metal I eased off. It is up to you if you have enough control to drill without going into the tail lights.

    They are threatening the entire retail and shipping industry and they are doing it at the expense of their own employees.

    Don't take my previous comment the wrong way, it's your money and your decision. I personally would just buy the HD MAX directly from AMP research and Not let Amazon take a cut.

    Oh right on. Is that what you have the Bak Revolver X4? If so how much was it? Looks like we are setting our trucks up identically. My Taco came with a rubber bed mat from the dealership

    I bought mine from jet.com a year ago for $206. I did not have to buy any extra brackets. To disconnect I simply raise it to 45 degrees and pull out.

    AMP Research 74811-01A BedXtender HDMax;

    Here's my post. Pay close attention to the printed template that comes with it. Mine was not printed to scale and if i would have drilled using it it would not have worked.

    I didn't have to buy the quick release brackets but I did because it added more angles that the extender could be removed or placed. It turns out that it was a good choice for use with the Bak Revolver
