I wanted a trailer decently sized to tow with my turd gen taco. I like Toy haulers but owning a mid size Taco I decided to make my own. All I need is a bed, power and room to haul my quads. I wanted a simple build that didnt cause migraines.

Bought a 6x12 with ramp and rv style door
So far insulated the inside with 1 inch panels
Painted the floor with Behr waterproof paint
Painted the walls with white paint

Did you get the extra 6" height? Does it feel like pulling a parachute? I am looking at getting a 6x12 but having towed a 8x16 with a fullsize truck and feeling how much it dragged at highway speeds, i am concerned about how a taco will handle it.

I did. It rides as any other trailer. The only thing is that its a bit taller so it looks somewhat different. I got it because I plan on wheeling extended quads inside and possibly loading a rzr alone. The empty weight is the same as all single axle 6x12

Being that its a Taco I knew ahead of time bout the mpg. I havent really towed it far or filled but ive taken a yfz extended for drag racing from cen cal to glamis and just with that & gear on my bed i was doing between 14/15 mpg highway @80

Do you recommend the dealer you bought it from, and if so who was it? So many shady ones around.

I got it @ Gilroy Trailers plus
I was able to score a good deal, they work with the numbers and I felt I paid a reasonable price for it. Theyre open to negotiation, being price or add ons.
