@dtaco06 so true, but unfortunately most people won’t listen or simply don’t give a shit. Then again, those couple puddles of mud is their “off roading”, and of course they gotta post their super cool pictures of the splashing....

Definitely got me some gram-likes, but wasn't worth all the quarters I had to use at the self wash.

Guessing you're talking about Main Divide and all the connecting trails. Little note for the future, usually the rangers close the gates when it's supposed to rain. Too many idiots getting in deep trouble ruining the fun for everyone else

Yea that's a bummer, but makes sense. I ended up trying snow for the first time out in Los coyotes Indian reservation... It was exciting being 2wd in a foot of snow xD

Never been up there but why is there no gate or some sort of obstacles to keep motorized vehicles off the trail. Just curious is all. You see gate and fences on a lot of fire roads.

No, it’s a dirt road leading to a neighborhood. People love back there

As mentioned above.... people live back there and that is the main road to the hiking trail. If 4x4 and other trucks go tear it up, then it costs money and time to repair it.
Stay down on the flats if go. Plenty of room to practice in the wash on the right or on the hillside off to the left.
