hi guys, new here but have learned a tonne of great info over the years.

I drive a 2007 trd off-road and recently noticed that my rear passenger side sits about an inch lower than the drivers side rear (measuring top of tire to top of wheel well on level ground). Truck sits and drives empty 95% of the time with a few heavy loads over the years and occasionally towing a boat. truck currently sits on stock suspension and knowing its age I’m planning on replacing the entire suspension over the next year with 5100s and some stock springs off a newer truck.

I was wondering whether it is likely the leaf spring or the rear shock failing that is causing the one side of the truck to sag. Both leaf springs look to my eye to have a similar positive arch. If it’s likely the leafs I’ll start keeping my eye open for some used ones swapped out of a newer truck before I work on anything else. otherwise it looks like an easy job swapping in the new 5100 shocks

    Thanks

Edit: truck is in Canada so came stock with 4 leaf pack so no Tsb here

What prompted you to measure? Is it visible to the naked eye? A more accurate way to measure is the center of the hub to the fender.

Id check the leafs first and make sure one of them isnt broken. There was a recall on these trucks for that and you might be able to get them replaced by toyota for free. Go online and check your vin to see if you qualify for the recall

It’s always park in my driveway with drivers side facing me. The other day I was coming back from a hike walking up to passenger side and it looked lower than I’m used to seeing. Measuring confirmed this

Measuring from center of the hub appears to be 3/4” difference,

Interesting. I'd follow @rjbiii advice and inspect the leafs and go from there. The updated ones are a 3+1 leaf pack and the old ones are 2+1.

All leafs appear intact. The truck currently has a 3+1 leaf pack, that came stock

Would a leaf pack off a 3rd Gen swap right in or are they different?

It would swap right in. They are the same leafs as on the second gen.

Sounds like a normal case of Taco lean.

Edit: Nevermind. I see you said it's the passenger side, not the driver's side.

Alright, looks like I’m looking for a new set of leaf springs
