Cool! I was looking for the front jack point. I use the two front side points and did twice the work last tire rotation.

those little dimples on a golf ball make it fly further, so the more dimples you put in your car, the better its mileage and performance will be.

I would assume it to be cosmetic, but since your lower control arms are directly connected to it, the only way to know for sure is an alignment check. If your toe is negative and the camber is positive, it would mean that you bent it. They make these with as thin of metal as they can and they have sacrificed strength for weight and cost.

Meh, no biggie. I’ve seen bigger dents on trucks that are mall crawlers.

Thanks for the reassurance guys. I used a level tool and measured the bottom ends and top ends and it reads "0" so I'm good.

I'll use the pumpkin upfront next time as the jack point.

Was wondering about the jacking points on the 18 TRD Sport 4x4 and checked the manual. Shows 2 points on that crossmember that the OP showed in his original pic, a little outboard from where he circled on either side. There is actually a small indent on each side where the jack head would sit. PLUS, I'm looking at his pic and looking under my truck and realize that I'm missing the under engine shield from that crossmember to the forward center jacking point that others have circled. Have the splash shield from that center point forward that attaches under the radiator but nothing back. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but does that shield (Toyota part #51406A cover sub-assembly, engine under #2) only come on the OR models or am I missing it on the Sport. Doesn't look like anything was ever bolted up there but would like to know if it should in fact be there. Thanks guys... and personally I wouldn't worry about that dent OP.

The OR has two shields, Sport only has the front one.

You didn't hurt anything. Don't even think twice about it or let it bother you. As pointed out, there is a correct jacking point you can use next time.
