Got some strut spacers I ordered off eBay the other day and in looking at them, one of them has two studs that weren't pressed in straight:

So I contacted the seller saying I'm not sure this spacer will even fit through the strut mounting holes on the truck and they responded with "the holes have some play, it shouldn't be a problem". Really though, how big a problem is this? I don't want to have the whole truck apart only to find out it won't work. Nor do I own a welder.

Ditch those spacers and save up some gingle for a set of 5100s.

Request a return, it's not worth trying to deal with the hassle of making it work, nor is it worth the risk of it failing.

Is the hole straight? If so you may be able to press it straight or may be able to pull it straight using washers and a nut.

I'd return it but I'd have to pay international shipping to send it back to the US. Would rather try to make it work.

The holes do look straight. Guess I could try tightening down on the nut to see if the stud works itself upright. There's a small spot weld on the stud head that may break though.

Send them that photo via ebay messaging, along with a couple of others.

Tell them the quality is unacceptable and ask how to proceed.

I've had low cost products like that where the vendor just refunded my money and told me to keep the item. Or given a significant partial refund.

By doing it via ebay messaging it's all logged. That way if it evolves to a full on complaint/negative feedback situation, ebay can see the correspondence clearly, and they'll use that to help reach resolution.

Aren't there spindles available for our 5 lugs? That's how I'd be lifting the front, if that was my goal.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Not a problem at all. Knock the bolt out (without damaging the threads) and drill the hole slightly larger. The bolts being pressed in is a convenience, not a necessity. Are you sure it's just not the paint holding them like that?

Nope, they're pressed or welded in or both.

I guess I could knock out the bolt and put a thin holding nut on the other side.. hopefully that won't interfere when mounting it.

It will still be ok. It just looks like the mating surface wasn't cleaned up (welding slag, burrs). Pop that bolt out and clean it up.

Bad advice. 5-lugs won't fit a set of 5100's up front with it's OEM control arm setup. 4600 is the limit, with or without spacer.
