    I have a 04 and need a phone mount. The dash won't hold a steelie for more than a week and the sticky tape fails.need ideas pls

    I have mine mounted to my tool bucket which pretty much lives on the right side floor .

    It works for me as the accursed phone stays in the truck .

    Only Double Cabs have a blank there, everyone else has the airbag shutoff switch unfortunately.

    That's where the airbag switch sits. But are you using the sticky tape and it's holding for you? I get like a week and the tape fails and phone goes flying. Are using anything to beef up the tape?

    yeah, I used the 3m tape and its been on there for about a year now. I can get you a picture in april when I get home from deployment. I cleaned the blank really well incase there was oil or grease on it.

    It's expensive but it's a really really good mount - like I said it's made for motorcycles and aviation. Metal construction and firmly bolted to the truck.

    We use the tablet mounts in the tow trucks. They get beat on but don't break. Buy once,cry once.

    I used the proclip in my GTI, but didn't want to block the air vents in the Tacoma. Pro Clips makes great products also!
