They still make Tacomas in 20017?!?

question... are you on 245’s or 265s? My first tacoma came on 245’s and when I put 265s on it corrected the problem.

I don’t even know if the tacos come with 245s anymore, but mine was about 2-3 mph off.

Mine reads about 1 MPH slower than it should. I have stock tires TRD OR 4x4 V6.

Everyone has that problem on every Tacoma in stock condition.

But if you correct it with tweaking the tire size, it's likely the ODO will be the next victim of inaccuracy.

From the look of it, my odometer was wrong from the factory along with the speedometer being low. Seemed to be off about 2% as 100 miles only read 98. Which reminds me I need to re-calibrate my ultra-gauge now that I went up a tire size.

If you get an accurate speedometer, it is an anomaly. SAE specs allow for speedometers to be up to +- 2% and still be legal.
    WHY?
Think about it: What happens when you are running on new versus worn tires? The tire changes circumference which will change speed! How about running your tires a few psi lower? Again, the tire changes circumference. What's funny, especially in the winter time, if you leave your vehicle parked with one side in the sun and one side in the shade, the tires in the sun will be a few psi higher. What is the speedometer to do then?
How about if you go around a lot of left hand curves? Outside turn tires will go further lol.

This is why speedometers are not perfectly accurate nor are they manufactured perfectly accurate. Now, if you have a 10 mph difference, something is wrong. A few mph either way does not mean anything.
