Wow, I imagine. Looks great though! Thinking about getting a spare tire rack like this http://www.carid.com/2005-toyota-ta...0028208.html?gclid=CN2fzfaSv8ACFQ5rfgodGCAANw

but they're very expensive for what they are...

I really like the feel of actually looking back to see behind me.. Any suggestions on where to get the rack or another way to do it? Thinking of getting the Road Armor basket with the sport mount system along with that tire rack. But the moneys :( hahaha

I like the rack you linked to but I need the space in the bed so wanted my setup to be a little higher. If you're running 285s or smaller I'd just keep it stuffed under the truck. Then there is always the option of a tire gate on the bumper but I myself don't like the way they look. With 315s I didn't have a lot of other options so I went with the setup I have. Minus being able to see out the back (which I'm used to now) I dig it and it works well for my needs.

I prefer to have my spare in the bed because I get into situations like these where if I some how needed my spare, I'd have a hell of a time getting it.

I'm running 265/75r16's so I'd still have some bed space, plus the cargo basket on the cab. Your truck looks soo good though, keep up the great work

What did you use to secure the tire to the basket?

Yakima sells a spare tire mount that you can lock.
