Go for it. Last time I looked Gearbest.com had them for around $30.

I wish it were that simple. It’s a 1/16 scale and has odd size everything.

Here’s the dual motor skid I installed.

I also did a little on the diffs.

How do you guys feel about chassis covers? Like the mesh ones. A lot of rocks have been getting stuck in between the components.

It’s spring break around here and I’ve got 3 kids. They vegged out on Wii today and I did some wrenching and charging. I got the stock brushed 15t and ESC our of my Twin Hammers and replaced with a 3100kV sensorless motor and the Axial AE-3 from my Wraith. Wheelies and smiles on 3s and good on 2s.

I’m getting all the NiMH charged tonight for the kid’s ECX Amps tomorrow. I’ve got a 550 brushed and HobbyWing 1080 that will go into the Wraith ASAP, too. Also on the table is a D90, aka ‘United Nations’. It needs some shafts and a few nick nacks then it’ll be ready to go. If the big 40xx motor will fit in the Exo Terra I’ll get it going while I’m at it.

I need a garage sale. Anything of interest to anybody? I haven’t put a battery in these for maybe the last 8 months or more.

    Exo Terra without the cage.

Thanks. I picked it up in a trade and the PO had a Wraith cage hacked to it. It looked good in the pics, not so well in person. Easy fix by using a Yeti front bumper and body mount on both the front and rear since the diffs are the same. Looks cool hauling ass down thto driveway. That’s about all I’ve done with it. I’d imagine it’d do well on a SC track but there isn’t one near me within 4 hours drive.

Dunno. Never owned an XL. The Jr is fun for a minute. Same as the regular Yeti to me fun wise. I’d rather crawl on some rocks or something than go fast in a straight line.

From the looks, they are 3D i take it?

I dabbled in heli for about 8 secs, as long as mine stayed in once piece.

I have been having a blast with my slayer. It's running great now that I've worked out all the kinks from sitting for so long. I ended up replacing the main bearings because they were getting noisy and it runs perfect now. I also put new pro line tires and wheels on today and I have a new upgraded steering servo on the way. I'm hoping to try it out tomorrow with the new tires as long as the weather cooperates.

I took my slayer out today and the new tires made a huge difference. It's much more controllable now.

I think it's safe to say I'm addicted to this hobby again. After running my slayer I went out and picked this up so I could have some fun in my neighborhood without annoying the neighbors.

What a fun truck. It's much faster than I expected. It's really good on 2s and wheelies effortlessly on 3s. It's very impressive for the price.

Yeah it seems pretty durable. I crashed it pretty good a couple times while giving my dogs a little exercise in the back yard and nothing broke lol. I haven't done anything too crazy with it yet though.

You should add some pieces of aluminum tubing to the front body post and make them look like exhaust pipes thru the hood :D

Thinking about buying a traxxas trx4 bronco... I've been out of RC since the early 90's lol. That truck is pretty badass looking. Any thoughts or opinions?

Its a fantastic crawler and has nice speed with the 2 spd tranny, its rather reasonably priced against the competition too

That's what I was thinking. The local shop has a course in the basement. They also race bone stock Tamiya grasshoppers. I don't want a hardcore dedicated crawler and it seems like this is a great cross over.
