Hey everyone I Iifted my truck with a leveling kit about 2 years ago. I still have my stock shocks in the back (I know I should have changed them during the lift but I got cheap) I now cant seem to find a the size I need to properly have being I lifted the rear end 2 additional inches. Im looking for a rancho part # for the rear if anyone can help that would be great thank you also this is for a 5 lug 2wd.

I think you will need, procomp 324515's (24.70" extended length) or just order the set off of fat bob garage. As for rancho part # idk. Im assuming anything around 24” ext length.

After a 2in lift in the rear any 6 lug shock designed for 0-1" of lift should work. I've used the trd bilstiens but would more suggest 5100s or fox 2.0s; I currently run fox. A good pair in the rear will really help with handling/body roll and since many 6 lugs move to a higher lift usually you can snag a used set for a good price if your patient enough.

You can usually find Used 4600s rear from a local TW member for free/pack of beer.

4600s are perfect for our 5Lugs after the AAL. It's too short prior to the AAL. I ran my 4600s with my AAL before swapping to 5100s.

EDIT: Sorry I meant too long.

Sorry meant too long:D But why does it really matter. Dude been running Stock black rear shocks for 2 years with a lift kit. Obviously doesn't off-road it too hard, if they haven't blown yet.

Maybe they are slamming when he hits big speed bumps? Or maybe he decided its time to go hit the whoops? Idk? He just wants taller shocks lol

Lmao I remember running Stock rears with our lifts. Speed bumps felt like they were going to rip my rears apart:rofl:

Riiiiiiight I half read that your right. We should mention that 5 lug spec 4600 is too short after aal but 6 lug trd 4600 is perfect after.....just not very good compared to 5100s or fox

The truck does see dirt quite a bit. I use fire trails to get to shooting locations or mud. The rear shocks all the way around are blown out for a while in just finally getting around to it now. It does have an aal in the rear.

So your options are all above. But a set of 5100s for a 6 lug will work. Any 6lug shocks for stock or a 1-2”lift should work. Or go with the fat bob or procomp shocks for the leveling kit. But really any 24 ext length shock should work in theory. Have it be rancho, fox, doestch, ect.

Also remember increasing tire size over stock and lifying mean you will have to get taller bump stops. Because now your full compression point has moved down. So you dont want your compression to be limited by either your shock bottoming out you tire hitting the wheel well because both cause damage.

First I've heard of this. Can you elaborate? Is it necessary to install taller bump stops for a lifted DD, or is it mainly for off road? Is there a particular brand or model that's recommended for the 5-lug?

When you get larger tires but have the stock amount of up travel or more on your truck you run the problem of them going into the fenders and rubbing at full compression, getting taller bump stops stop that from happening by limiting how high your tire can tavel up. So if you are running 31”s for say on a leveling kit and nothing on big bumps when your suspension compesses yor tires are rubbing on the top of the wheel well then you need taller bump stops. I just bought some universal bumpstops from energy suspension. I liked them because they are leveled so if they are to tall and stoping my tire from going up to much i can cut a level off to allow for more up travel.

Did your ride improve as a result of adding your bump stops, like when going over speed bumps or hitting pot holes or when hauling stuff? Are bump stops easy to install?
