2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

I have been running the 1.03C for about 200 miles, I liked the 103.b better for the throttle response. I was going to go back to B but want to see what Matt comes up with first.

 

Pic tutorial on how to set up Techstream,let's see if I can do this in one post.

@M1Awolf I get to the function auto select then it shows me a software registration screen. is there a software key that you type in?

 

This screen? Just fill it with gibberish and click through

 

I filled that out with gibberish too but I get this screen.

The one that you copied and pasted from the unrar'd folder to the techstream source folder

 

On the screen with the highlighted yellow engine box click twice to bring up the data fields available. Then when you click the " screen icon with the two red arrows you can then clear the list on the right and add the data fields that Matt needs from the list on the left. "Tip" you can highlight all the fields then remove/move them to the custom list.

 

That code is in the Tech stream folder that you downloaded named key.text copy and paste that code in there.

 

Hey guys, wonderful day here in sunny Nova Scotia. Ran the 1.03C test tune 001 91 Octane on the highway - silky smooth and powerful.

I haven't received a second file yet, have any of you?

One tiny little thing ref my highway drive - the "double bump" kind of surge is still there just when you're transitioning from on the throttle to feather (not quite at full lift). It's minor, and certainly not even close on the annoying scale as the stutters were on 1.03C original file.
No it's not driveline slack lol.

The Techstream file you downloaded was a .rar file you unpacked/unzipped it to install Techstream the key file is in the file with the Texchstream.exe and Mainmenu.exe files.

It's kinda convoluted since there wasn't anyway to describe the process between pics but I think it points guys down the right path.

That link was the one Matt posted back on page 130 or so, correct? You downloaded that and then installed Techstream from your download folder correct? Look in your downloads for the folder Techstream,open that and you should see the last pic I posted click on the keytext file and copy the string of numbers and paste it into the registration box.

 

I think he is sleeping in letting the fire in his brain go out from all the data he was looking at yesterday...

 

Let me try again. DL from pg 130 several times. Unable to unpack the rar file. Used a different link to dl the file but didn’t have the reg info
