    Need the correct tire for a 2918 sport with bikstein 6112/5160 lift. 4runner trd pro 17” wheels.

    I want an agressive look but def need at performance.

    285/70/17? Skinnies? Whats best?

    Most of my driving will be on road not off. Driving arpund town ir highway.

    not trying to be a dick but you might want to reconsider your idea of performance and aggressive look if your driving is strictly on road.

    The 'aggressive look' is what comes with aggressive A/T or M/T, which neither of the two have anywhere close to what I would consider performance on road lol.
    They will perform ok but nothing will be amazing.
    If you're going to be a pavement princess why not just get street tires? They will last longer, be a smoother ride and better traction on road and especially in rain, unlike most A/T and pretty much all M/T.

    All true, however imho with the 6112/5160 lift he purchased a H/T will look pretty dumb. I would look into some of the P rated more 'conservative' A/T tires. Maybe something like the TRD Pro GY Wrangler Kevlars or Yokohama Geolandar A/T and similar.

    those kevlars suck lol.

    But yes there are less aggressive A/T that are pretty good on road but they do not have that aggressive look he is looking for.

    I have no experience with those Kevlars actually. It was more of a general suggestion to look into tires in that category.

    I do have experience with the now discontinued Geolandar A/T-S. I have about 65k on mine and they still have 7/32" of thread left. They are quiet and have great on road manners. Mine are however LT load D and look more aggressive in real life then photos would suggest mostly due to pretty 'busy' sidewall pattern. They are now succeeded by new Geolandar's A/T G015 that also come in P with 60k warranty. They also look less aggressive now.

    I have had many trucks with many different types of tires. My present set is the best all around tire I have had. It is good in snow, wet, and dry pavement. It looks good and performs well. It is the Kumho Road Venture AT 51. Check it out online at the Tire Rack.

    Personally I think skinnies look terrible. Go for the 285s.

    for what its worth the goodyear duratrac is what I have and they are a rather aggressive looking tire, more so than the KO2 for sure.

    they are good on road and decent in the rain, don't hydroplane like the KO2 at least.
    But they are somewhat loud.

    oh also just saying if you think you can fit 285 easy, its not always as easy as every one says lol.

    For what its worth I need to cut body mount still and I already had to beat my pinch weld just to turn the wheel to full lock. and still might have rubbing issues.

    If you are getting the 4Runner TRD PRO wheels you might consider the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I believe that’s the stock tire for the PRO 4Runner. That might be the compromise you’re looking for.

    Duratrac's are what I'll be getting most likely next. I will have to look into those Kumho's suggested here, missed those in my research.

    I was reading a lot about the Falken WildPeaks A/T3s. They look aggressive, are quiet and come in both P and LT. The one drawback, especially with the P tires is how fast they seem to wear according a lot of TW members that got them so I will probably skip those for that reason. They do have 55k warranty for whats that worth.

    I'm also considering Toyo Open Country AT IIs as an option. Lightweight, with good wear and reasonably aggressive looking. Probably not as good in snow as Duratracs.

    Hankook, Firestone and Cooper A/Ts do have great reviews and could also be a good compromise, myself I just don't like how they look...:anonymous:

    I read the reviews and took a chance with the P-rated Falkens. Looks like mine came with ~13/32 so I'll have keep an eye on the wear.

    I'm probably gonna go with the falken wildpeak at's in the p rated. I would love to go with a mud tire but it would purely be for looks and think it would be childish to get a mud tire because they look the best at the sacrifice of ride quality and fuel mileage...ok I'm getting mud terrains!
