What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Ok yea that's what we did to my buddy's 2nd gen but his wasn't off like this. I had to cut those bolts so I gotta grab some from the dealer tomorrow. Haven't begun cutting the other side apart yet would it be easier to have everything free or keep the other side bolted in til driver side is done. We did one at a time on the 2nd gen but like I said we didn't need to move this far.

 

Just bought the same jack from HFT last weekend!

 

Remove both sides first. Then mount front then center axle then mount rear

 

I suspect these were stock; lasted 269K...although prob should have been replaced sooner. Just back from the alignment; nice and straight and the steering wheel is right on the money. Over the past month, new inner&outer TRE, sway bar links, struts, and ball joints. Good times...

 

Nothing like a relaxing Sunday drive.

 

Still stinks like an old musty funeral home though. I took out anything removable and used my air compressor at 90 PSI to blow out the entire cab. You should've seen how much dust came out of that thing.

AC Doesn't work. Climate control doesn't work - the temperature and blend/vent knobs are all jammed and the blower motor is dead.

I tested the blower motor with 12v, nothing. But the harness does get 14v so a new motor should be all it needs. Hoping the AC compressor is good.

 

The AC Compressor in my E320 went out. Think we paid like $1,500 to fix it. No way in hell I'm touching a German car anytime soon, haha. That seems like a much more simpler and cheaper solution.

 

I ended up putting the front bolt in the using a scissor jack to push down the pack to line it up... PribProb not the safest but it worked really well...

 

Does that custom kit come with a gas generator or is it solar??

So I couldn't pass up the discount tire direct special going on right now and ordered some Cooper stt pro 285/75/16's last night! Now I need new wheels so I can put on some tundra brakes. I have pretty much narrowed it down to three options :
Scs bronze sr8's would be my first choice I just can't/shouldn't spend 800 bucks on them.
Bronze Level 8 MK6's with - 10 offset seem like a good compromise.
Third option and most reasonably priced would be the Pro Comp 7069 alloys, I figured I could just paint them bronze or copper and call it good.
Does anyone have any experience running the level 8 or pro comps? Aside from the coolness factor am I missing out on anything by not springing for the sr8's?
