Plasti-dipped the grill surround. I think it looks way better than the silly chrome, but I'm not in love with it. I'll probably end up getting one of the paint matched ones sooner or later but wanted to try this first.

I still don't get why people have front license plates

 

Mandatory in some states.

It is here in California, but you won't get hit on it unless you're being a dick.

 

It is where I'm at too, but the police don't really seem to care. I've been pulled over at least four times that I can remember when I didn't have a front plate, and the officers never said a word about it. It's one of those things where if you're being an a-hole to the cop he might add it on just to mess with you, but otherwise it isn't really an issue, at least that's been my experience.

 

i got a ticket for no front plate while i was parked at work. I wasn't being a dick

 

I took mine off the day I brought my truck home. Never like the way it looked with a plate up front.

 

I moved mine up a little bit



Still looks like shit. Won't be installing it again when my new bumper comes in.

 

Sorry for my stupidity ARB - can you help me understand what you mean by projectors? My Taco has fog lights - are they considered projectors?

Oh yes. Hybrid front, with a couple custom options

 

I've been eyeing southern style offroad's slimline hybrid, but that is like 2-3 years down the road of mods I want to do to my truck.

 

It's all one big plan! I debated the slimline for a while.

Just said screw it and went full replacement.

 

I just want to avoid adding too much weight to my truck. The 4 banger won't like me too much if I do, otherwise I would probably say screw it too.

 

Put any thought into aluminum?

I just couldn't get away from the huge increase in clearance when adding a full replacement (offroad) bumper.

 

Definitely. The SSO one is just the current one I'm drooling over. I change my mind about these things like 3 times a week minimum.
