New tweeters in 2006, Do I need a Blocker?

Howdy Again Guys,

I have a 2006 Tacoma and just put a new Pioneer AVH-1300 Head unit in, now I'm finally getting around to installing the Rockford Fosgate speakers. Rear doors went in fine, my question is for the fronts. I bought these speakers for the front doors to replace the lower units:

I bought these tweeters for the upper doors:

$45 Rockford Fosgate Prime R1T-S 1" Tweeter Kit (Pair)

My Question; Do I Need These:

$15 PAC BB-6PR Pair of Bass Blocker for Tweeters, 6" x 1" x 6" Black

Those 6x9s are going in the doors yeah? They're coax - have tweeters built in. I wouldn't even bother with the 2nd tweeter unless I installed the coax and still didn't have enough high end.

If however you do decide to use the tweeters, then yeah, you need a cap on them. That's all that's in that package - a pair of overpriced (probably 6.8 uF ) capacitors wrapped in a fancy shell.

 

Yes, add the blocking caps.
