hell yeah man, swap looks clean. Nicely (almost) done! This thing will be such a fun little car to own and rip around in. I had a GSR DC2 that I'd like to have back, but i really miss my FA5.

    power steering works :yay:

im extremely happy with having it again. just need to do a final driving test with it which will be tomorrow.

also wired the fans and relays so i need to verify those turn on correctly. i did verify direction already at least

dont have a working speedo in the oe cluster since it was cable driven. so i installed an ultragauge em+

a few digital readouts are nice without having to hook up my phone bluetooth to the ecu everytime.

    @BadBrains @danteisme

am i missing something? i know the dc2 had the ring terminal that supplied voltage to the horn/cruise stuff. but my da has this plug at the steering wheel and the same plug on the column side. my horn works if i jump the correct wires between the two. i tried it but when turning the wire ends up getting pulled.

i ordered a nrg steering wheel/hub to replace it. im pretty sure im missing something stock and i dont want to track it down.

Do you have your clock spring between the wheel and column?

that must be what is missing then. not sure why anyone would have taken it out.

Yeah not sure. If you don't care about a horn, cruise, or airbags, then it's not really needed I suppose.

i just want the horn since the car is so tiny. ill put an aftermarket steering wheel in and take care of that problem.

no airbags in the da from the factory and cruise doesnt work with the swap.

Just an idea, but you could get crafty and re-purpose those cruise buttons. Stereo controls, two step, nitrous, etc.

so apparently driving 720 miles in a day with a torn axle boot (which i didnt know about till ~500 miles in) leads to a destroyed axle..

completely busted the interior joint on the passenger side. im extremely happy it didnt happen on the highway and only happened while at a stop light a few blocks away from home. Replacement axle is already on order

i know, i was super lucky. probably would have taken out the back of the motor.

    roughly the same weight wise.
id like sub 2500. those auto belts weigh a ton as did the seats, and no a/c. still want to do a sunroof delete. but added ~50 back in with the roll bar

The rear three windows add a lot, is FAL still in business? Edit: Yep, in business, although the Integra windows were discontinued.
Also, just saw an ad for Insane Shafts' steel intermediate shaft thingy. Might be up your alley.
