    I lifted my truck a while back ago by just installing Donahoe's (Icon) all around and an add-a-leaf kit in the back. Looked great, but the ride was stiff and I just thought that was my fate for messing with the suspension. Not to mention that with the lift I wasn't able to properly align the front which just snowballs down the line. Last weekend a buddy and I installed UCA's from Total Chaos...makes a huge difference in the ride. I can't believe I didn't put them in sooner. So, if you have the lift already and are looking for another place to dump some cash in the Tacoma...pick up a set of Total Chaos arms. Also, with the arms installed, alignment shouldn't be an issue either, but I haven't taken it in yet.

    I have similar concerns. Just installed SAW 2.0s. I'm at about +2.5 and couldn't get a decent caster number (.87 left and .97 right). Their experienced guy told me it was because I had taken all of the rake out that toyota had designed in. Hah!

    I can't say I dislike my front end ride now. Anything is better than the stock TRD springs and shocks. Overall the truck is riding and driving much better now but I am concerned long term whether aftermarket UCAs might offer better alignment numbers and so forth.

    What year is your truck? Is it a Prerunner or a 4x4?

    Defenantly made a difference in my ride! My allignment was off, and after awhile I started to have wondering issues. So I descided to get the TC UCA's. And right after Install, I noticed the front felt more Plush, like it moved/cycled better then before. So I would have to say that there a great thing to invest in. :thumbsup:

    Im sure they will help, but you wont get the articulation that TC's and others have, bc there still a Ball-joint and not a Uni-ball. But they will help with allignment and may help with a smoother ride.

    Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    yah, you really only want to invest that if you are planning to keep the truck for a long time and not planning to upgrade your suspension down the road...

    there isn't much of a market for used aftermarket direct replacement UCAs for first gen tacos...

    Evan, what kind of caster numbers were you able to attain after installing the TCs? Do you still have that info?

    I've noticed that I do still have a bit more 'wander' than I was used to compared with the stock setup. If it gets worse, I will not be happy.

    I will be very interested to see what kind of improvements you get. Were your caster numbers similar to mine without aftermarket UCAs?

    Comparing results with 2nd gens and 1st gen prerunners doesn't seem to help with 1st gen 4x4s. Thanks for the feedback guys.

    I almost didnt get them, But I knew I was gana keep my truck for a very long time and I wanted my allignment dead on. And not have issues later on with uneven tire wear and what want... So its good investment in the long run I think.

    When I decided to go ahead with the lift, it was with the understanding that this is a long term commitment to the truck. So going the next step with TCs make sense in that regard.

    There are several uniball type UCAs available, why did you choose Total Chaos as opposed to some of the others?

    Bc at the time I heard that the TC's were/are quieter then others. And were recomended by more people. But mine do make some noise when going over speed bumps and what not, but it really doesnt bother me. Just have to make sure to lube up the bushings really good before install.
