I ran the Detroit Gambler 500 in an old Isuzu with half a frame. Lost a shit ton of great footage but still managed to get some into a video. You will not regret it.

    Bump!
I was thinking about doing it this year. Found a mitsubishi montero for 500 locally that just needs a belt and tensioner. Figured it would handle offroad pretty well. My fiance is worried about being hot in a beater though, so I said we could take the taco and swap drivers.

If you're willing to send it in your taco, go do it.:mudding:

If not, get a good SUV and (try to) skip the wife. The whole point of the Gambler is to send it! That's like going to watch some hockey with no chance of a fight, or watching racing with no chance of a caution. For many people that's pretty boring! :woot:

I'm getting that vibe too. Found out there's some local ones too in Kansas and the Ozarks. Maybe I'll run those then decide if I want to drive to Oregon lol
Now I found an Audi Quatro A4 awd that would be super fun to throw some big tires on and cut the fenders out of. Also found a Honda passport 4x4 with some rear end collision damage, nothing mechanical to fix!

Side note, anyone know the biggest tire I can run on a 98 Audi A4 Quatro with the fenders chopped out? lol
