I saw the stereo upgrade thread for non-JBL stereo's, is there one for JBL stereos?

I'm weighing the differences between Premium or just Tech packages and the Tech package stereo seems much easier to upgrade but haven't found a build thread on it.

I have the JBL, and like it better than non-JBL. But there is always room for improvement So, will be lurking to see what maybe come of this thread.

Not sure if this is how you cross thread quote or not but as far as upgrading Non-JBL systems one advantage is being able to build an adapter like this that makes it easy to not only upgrade using the stock wiring but also go back to factory specs. JBL systems use an external amplifier is the reason I think you can't build one of these for them. Also I've noticed threads mention you can't upgrade the tweeters as easily but haven't seen all this information put together in one place.

I have heard the JBL in person but haven't did a side by side comparison with stock. The JBL sounds good and would buy me some time before I would feel the need to upgrade it but still not enough to where I wouldn't want to upgrade eventually.

Ya... I made the mistake of buying the kicker tweeters without knowing the factory plugs are different for the JBL systems. Has anyone been successful in finding or building a 2pin female to 4pin male adapter?
