Anyone ever change out a reverse light switch on a 6sp man trans? Wondering how hard it is to access. Thank you.

Takes a 27mm wrench or a large cresent wrench.

This is what it looks like:

Just a heads up to you. This was a pretty easy fix for me. The switch is on the passenger side of the transmission right next to the exhaust flange(thank you jimmyh!) I unfastened the two wire plug and jumped out the terminals. You can use a piece of wire or paper clip or anything that conducts. Power up the vehicle(it doesn't need to be in gear). If the lights light up you have a good circuit and a bad switch. Remove the switch with a 27 mm wrench or 1 1/16 inch. Plug back in and good to go. Another thing, the dealership wanted almost $60.00 for the switch. $25.00@ Autozone.

Thanks for the tips. Got mine replaced. Had to sand down the connector on the Duralast switch because the plug was too big and wouldn't fit into the harness.
