Official Spoilers for Star Wars Movies/TV Shows in General

That was pretty good. I’m looking forward to seeing Downsizing. That looks like a fun one.

 

Forgot about that one. I’ll he going to see that too. Now that I have the movie pass I try to go 1-2 times per week. I’m off work all next week so hopefully I can catch all the new releases

 

I am convinced the brief bit on Rey's parentage we heard is going to turn out in the next movie to have been a false story, planted by whomever was "looking out for her" to throw the First Order off, keep her anonymous and safe until she was ready to become <the Last Jedi>. I truly believe that if she did indeed come from simple peasant parents, with no skill in the Force, Kylo and others would have harped on that many times, and in far greater depth than we saw, just to intimidate her, make her doubt herself, etc..

She may not turn out to be Luke's daughter or something like that, but I am certain we will learn her background is something tremendously significant. Like maybe Yoda and Chewbaca's love child. Or something. Maybe Han and Maas Kanada.......

What kind of rebels don’t rig a base to blow as they are escaping out the back and the bad guys are coming in the front? Missed opportunity by Lucasfilm!
Otherwise decent. But they need a better showing for IX.
Looking forward to the upcoming Han Solo movie

 

This sure is a lot closer to the way I thought about it in Dec. I still believe they made some poor plot choices. But, I'm looking forward to future movies in the universe.

 

Saw the trailer for SOLO yesterday. Looks like a must see!

 

Just guna keep it short and to the point, this movie had too much Disney “magic”, and not enough classic Star Wars force

 

I agree. Episodes VII & VIII are missing that Lucas touch.

 

They skipped the 80's Lucas style and went straight for the 90's CGI Lucas . I'm more of a fan of practical effects.

 

Did anybody else notice the broom "come" to the boy at the end of SWVIII?

 

So, were you impressed or disappointed in Solo?

 

I enjoyed it. Seeing Darth Maul was a wtf moment but I know in the Cartoons he is still alive until Ben actually kills him. But I liked it but then again I enjoyed The Last Jedi so to some my opinion sucks

I really hope we have the opportunity to see Maul in action again, The thought of a battle between him and Vader sounds amazing! Really though, there could be numerous awesome opponents The Inquisitors, Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, or Asajj Ventress. It was awesome seeing him back on the screen and I'm curious to see how it plays out.

 

I think it would be awesome to see a Solo 2 because we could see what Kiera (spelling) would do with Darth and then also see what Solo would do it Jabba. Even tho I'm fairly confident in that the "big" job he does for him is the one where he messes up and drops his cargo at the first sight of Imperial Star ships. But we shall see, it'd be awesome to see them reprise their roles but I don't see it happening

 

How about just “maul” a star wars story?

 

I don’t think we necessarily need a “Solo 2”... for one this Kiera was never mentioned in any Of the prior movies (I don’t know anything about the cartoons in canon) so having that be the end of her in solo’s story would be fine with me if his now current path leads him to Luke and Leia...

They can make a Darth Maul centric movie, or Obi Wan which centers around Darth Maul and wrap of the Kiera stuff but if that all took place in the cartoons then would they really play it all out again in a movie?

Also the ratings and even though it’s made a ton of money it’s kind of being called a “flop” in terms of Star Wars movies so they may just scrap the whole thing and move on to another idea, but then again DC is still making movies so who knows
