    Staring at my list of stuff to do for the truck. Why is it so fucking long? Why can't it be done? Where's the winning lottery ticket so I can hire someone to do it? Ok I'm done complaining i'll get back to work and shut up for another year :D ps I might seem to be complaining but I wouldn't have it any other way

    I had taken it out of 4H about 2 miles before this happened :bananadead: Roads cleared up so I thought I was safe. I’m just glad it hit the door and rocker. If it hit any other part of the cab or the front end or bed it wouldn’t be as easy of a fix. The ATs do not like wet pavement at all...

    I got to of them "mod list" and "repair/maintenance list" thankfully most of the mods fix the maintenance. Then there's the V8 sitting in the corner like. " Hi I'm your dream. Leats hurry up and install me" then I see the box with the ECU and wiring harness. Looks like a hot chick in the back but chewbacca in the front.

    Hey guys, looking for some quick advice. I found out today that my cv boot slid up and shot a bunch of grease out. Is it okay to drive on this for a little while?

    Also, should I just replace the boot or the entire CV?

    As long as you don't use 4x4 much your ok. Mines been like that for awhile. I'd replace it to be honest

    Rebooting isn't that bad just kinda messy. That's what I did and replaced it with high angle boots.

    Oem if you want but I think it's safe to say that most of us get them from autozone or Napa.

    that's true but depending on how long they been like that for is the key factor. For me it's been months

    Would really depend on how many miles are on them, any noise when turning, that sort of thing. When in doubt, replace it I’d say. You’re going through all that work anyway. Better safe than sorry.

    I’ve been driving on mine for well over a year, maybe two:anonymous: and something just barely started making noise and I use 4WD quite a bit.

    Still undetermined what it is for sure.

    Yeah that was the bed coating and i guess no longer made. But the stuff you get now is basically the same far as I can tell. Texture isn't quite as fine but still nice.

    That was a wet day..

    Gonna have to take it off anyway, better to just replace it since they aren't really that expensive and it's almost guaranteed that dirt/water has gotten in there, which will drastically reduce the life of the axle. Especially if you drive with it like that. Better to have the peace of mind of a new axle when you're off somewhere remote.

    Could always reboot the one that's compromised and keep it as a trail spare in case you ever need one, but that's about as much as I'd rely on it for if I was intent on keeping it.
