always had a thing for late 80,s early 90,s ford Rangers and Nissan hardbodys. It was something about the look that I loved and both makes design was changed i.e. Rangers after 92 did not appeal to me as was the same for Nissan hardbody when it went to being called frontier. Anyway just saw a 92 hardbody se v6 King cap with manual and very rust free which is hard to find in that model in the northeast. So tempted but I really have no need for another truck especially since I love my Tacoma. I hate these urges they make no logical sense and my wife would give me stink eye if I mention this. So I guess tw is my therapy outlet beacause some hear may understand but she wouldn't. Hopefully someone buys it soon to put me out of my misery. Have a good one.

I had ‘95 Nissan Hardbody, absolutely loved that truck. I traded it in on an ‘06 Frontier...talk about disappointment. I wish I had kept the Hardbody. Solid truck from when Nissan made great vehicles. I still check local ads hoping to come across my old truck in hopes of restoring it. The last time I seen it, it was in terrible shape from when I traded it in.

For the last 5-6 Years I've always had a beater trucks/SUVs which have been Fords, the one I miss having was my '87 reg cab Ranger 2.9L, 4x4, 5 speed, short-bed (kinda rare option). I beat the hell out of that truck, boiled the tires off of it hundreds of times & it never let me down. I eventually scrapped it bc the gas tank was rusting out & the rest of the truck was pretty ate up with rust and I wasn't gonna dump money into fixing it.

Yeah I had an 89 ranger Stx reg cab 4x4 manual loved that truck and I worked it hard doing landscape construction in my younger days. Also had an 87 Nissan se v6 but with auto and although a good truck when the tranny lost overdrive that was it. I rebuilt trans but the guy did a lousy job so I donated it to veterans association.

I drive it for fun but have moved my belongings with it last year with my 80s 24 foot enclosed trailer and hauled a big 5th wheel camper with it many times.

How was the build quality compared to your current taco?

Honestly the titan is a super solid truck compared to the taco with fully boxed frame no idea about a tundy. They were great trucks plenty of power super underrated. The frontier had more power but the seating position is super tall an awkward no leg room an rough riding. I’m so much happier in the taco for sure without a shadow of a doubt. Nissan is hard to work on also.

    Nice, ive always been curious.

A couple of the guys i work with drive titans. One is just like the white one you have minus the bumper. The other guy drives a new black one with the cummins in it.. he loves it apparently, and he came from an FJ cruiser

Awesome I like the 2nd gen titan but to expensive an big. I spent entirely way to much on the white one. Aftermarket support not much but what is available is high dollar.

Tundra frame is boxed in front then goes to thick c channel from cab back. They did this for ride comfort and ability to flex.

I'd would have only been a matter of time....

Seriously, I had a beauty 80's 4x4 Ranger that was pretty reliable too!
