Ive heard that 5100s will give you a smoother ride ON-road.. however the Kings will be better OFF-road. They kings will feel more stiff in relation to the 5100s is what ive heard. And kinda makes sense.

The beauty of Kings and the like (Fox, Icon, ADS, etc.) is that they can be rebuilt instead of thrown away and replaced.

Probably best to stick with billies, just to play it safe...

Can attest to this...although after having my Kings on for a few months now, they've either broken in and feel softer than they did at first or I've just gotten used to them (probably a bit of both). But I do remember the 5100s riding really well on the street.

Off road there really is no comparison, of course. Although I don't recommend jacking up the preload on them because it really kills the ride (and your CVs), I had to lessen mine a bit.

All shocks that can be re-valved (King, Fox, ADS, etc) do not technically have a specific ride. All of them can be revalved or ordered in the valving you want to ride however you want

Should be able to get you fingers around it and pop that lever up to open the door before you break out the heavy artillery. Its a squeeze but doable. Then that will expose the 2nd 10mm bolt you need to remove for the window guide and move it out of the way to see the full mechanism to see what is broke

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

    this.

Also it is extremely likely that when someone replaces 5100s with Kings...the 5100s where blown out. Which seems like a nice ride on the road and a freaking shit ride everywhere else. I bet if compared directly new to new..you wouldn't wan the 5100s.

5100s are digressively valved though. Which is part of that vs the progressively valved Kings.

ADS shocks are progressively valved on compression and digressively on rebound. Makes for a great all around ride.

No no no don't do that, lol. The window rail comes out with two bolts and you can unbolt the actuator.

Has the same amount of power as your 2.7 or less. And people complain about lack of power in modern trucks...

It's not lack of power. More like how all those sensors and shit apply said power. Witch is why I love these trucks if you want full power get the revs up and you unlock full power

Why do I imagine everyone with a 4 cylinder doing that lol. Or that bouncing/rocking in your seat in desperation of hoping it goes faster

I see those little 80s Toyota pickups with the 22r in them around here all the time, beat to shit and loaded with so much weight their bed is rubbing their back wheels, but they're cruising along on the freeway (albeit in the slow lane) just fine. Blows my mind sometimes how well those little motors have held up all these years, let alone how much they can pull/haul. Not saying it's safe, but still

So Mr. Alignment dude says my steering rack is mess up. He doesn’t know if it’s the bushing or the rack?

At 261k would it just be better to replace the rack anyway?
