Hey , so I made this account just now to see if I can get some help with the issues I'm having with my 2012 toyota tacoma , its RWD. I think my cam bolt may be tightened down a little under where it should be. Ill fill you in:
Couple months ago I did some service to the truck myself (shocks and wheel bearings) . I had trouble getting my shocks in , and pretty sure I did it wrong. Instead of dismantling the lower control arm and lowering it out of the way, I had a friend shove the shock in place as I applied pressure to the lower control arm, thus giving us room to work with getting the front shock in. I think by doing this I messed with my lower control arms on either side. I didnt think it would be a big deal because they werent far off from where they were when I started . now it feels like he'll in the steering wheel. I can feel every bump likes gods fury and there is ALOT of play in the steering wheel. The worse symptom is I can feel a difference in the driving...it feels like my wheels are gonna snap when I go over anything. Any ideas?

I did. Its not the alignment. I had one done right after I put shocks in. I probably have my control arms at the wrong hash marks .

Perhaps the cam bolts are seized an binding up with the lca bushing?

That would be part of an alignment.

Doing what you did to install shocks is normal. All you did was push on the bushings. Now if you install lift coils the bushings can bind and tear but takes a bit of wheeling to do. If something was that off from install the alignment shop would have seen it most likely. I would inspect all bolts, bushings, track bushings, tie rods, ect.
