Opinion of the Bilstein 5100's

Yours sits pretty level no rake what do you have in yours it looks good.

Here’s my set up, Toytec bilies 3” adjustable with eibach springs.

 

I installed my Bilstein 5100s a few days ago on my 2005 DCLB to replace my OEM shocks and coilovers that had 275,000 miles on them. I cleaned up and reused the OEM coils and left everything else (bushings, alignment, UCAs) alone. So far I love the ride, what a nice improvement over the old worn out originals. I'm super happy with the damping and these are more than adequate for a daily driver.

I have a set of OME 885s, and new control arm bushings and cam bolts. As soon as I can get some UCAs I will install the rest of this stuff and get the front end lifted up a bit. But for now its all smiles

 

Your truck looks killer TOne, I just got the same wheels in on saturday and getting ready to pull the trigger on some 5100's. Did you do anything to the rear?

 

Nice! I love the TRD Pro wheels. And I’m running 2” AAL in the back. Leveled out perfect.

 

And 72,000 miles I might as well change my rear shocks they are getting kind of soft. From what I gather these Billsteins are the right way to go on the original manufacture parts. What is the difference between a 5100 and the standard stock shocks? And would it be a safe bet just to go and change the front as well? I don't want to spend my money all the ones but practicality seems to be the right route any suggestions

 

Speak to text makes me sound like a dad gum idiot. For that I do apologize. Looking to up grade my ride suspension looking for some suggestions. My truck is an 08 TRD sport.

 

Had bili 5100s installed with new frame 15000 miles back. Am getting new tires right as we speak,the tire man shows me both rear shocks have been leaking, covered in oil and mud (I don't offroad, I live in New England).
Warranty for bilstein may be lifetime, but needs to be returned to place of purchase (jet) Great, but what do I do in the meantime? Don't think I'll get Bilstein again!

This will sound like a rookie question but I am in need of new shocks (stock ones are leaking in the rear) and looking into the 5100s for my 2013 TRD Sport. I have read and heard a mixture of opinions of whether to add a leaf or not to the rears. Any significant difference or is it necessary? I've seen a lot of YouTube videos and it seems like no one talks about aal in their videos. Also, can I use my stock springs or would it be better to buy the full kit?

I leave it up to the experts here to give me the peace of mind.

Additionally, what's a good price range for parts and labor? If anyone can hook a brotha up with a recommendation in the SoCal/San Gabriel Valley area, let me know!
