So I recently picked up set of TRD Pro shocks (front and back)...also ordering HeadStrong AAL (3 leaf add-a-leaf)...Shocks are a direct swap (but will make nose high) and the leafs take a little more effort. Can't seem to find any shop local that will do it. The big dealers want to rape you. As soon as I mention the AAL they pucker up like I was asking to borrow their wife for the weekend. I would try to do it but can't afford the risk of messing my back up again and be out of work for three months. Truck is 17 DCSB.

I am in Harrisonburg, VA 22801...Anyone got a shop recommendation? Someone that that knows what they are doing and a fair price?

    Thanks

How much did the dealer quote you out of curiosity?

I am not a big fan of my local dealer...didn't have a great experience when looking for new truck...I ended up driving to Fredricksburg to buy my truck.

That is good to know. Called and stopped by a shop near me and even sent them a video showing exactly what needs to be done and they never even called me back...yet they claim to do lifts...had another shop started and run by 2 Toyota Techs who flat refused to do anything like this...but at least they told me. I mean hell its just shocks and an AAL. I'm not looking to shortchange anyone just get fair price and work by someone with half a clue. Plus I struggle with trusting someone else to care about my truck as much as I do...plus I am old school in that if you want something done right do it yourself (if possible).

A former Toyota tech gave me a run around on doing it, then says he cant do alignments on the vehicle because its too new. If they don't want the work they should flat out tell you. And to be honest, Ive never had a positive experience with any shop the last time I lived there. Shady As Hell.
