I just picked up my Tacoma SR5 and wanted to update the headlights to those used on the TRD with the LED DRLs. Everything I read says the headlights are not compatible and I can appreciate this but I must believe there is a way to make this work. Perhaps some resisters or other wiring/power changes would be needed but I can't find what would be needed. Has anyone made this modification and if so, what did you need to do? Thanks.

I’m doing the same... just threw the TRDPro’s on.. once I confrm which color wire is for the DRLs to the front signals, I’m gonna wire it up. It’s pretty straight forward. You just tap the red wire to the DRL and the Orange to the low beam (so that it dims) and ground it.
