Sorry if this has been posted, i tried searching to no avail. Anyways, I heard you can drop in some OEM subaru forester (kicker made) tweeters up front and replace the subwoofers? Anyone know which drop in subwoofers they were?

As long as you don't have Factory JBL then the Subaru Tweeters work as a really nice upgrade.

I have the tweeters, fosgate 6x9 and 6.5 and kicker comp 10 from *********... very happy with the sound. No need for a 4 channel with my setup it sounds great

I put them in my SR and it was an easy swap and good upgrade.

I have only heard the tweeter was a direct replacement. Not sure if others are correct size for door or anything...

Where do you look to see if you have the JBL system without having to take stuff apart?

You won't find a better system than going through @Mr Marv The setup he put together for me sounds amazing. I ended up going subless to save on room, and my truck still has more pop than friends that have a poorly tuned 12 in the back.

This is a direct replacement set? No need for adapters or anything??

    Too much.
I'd be interested to see. While the tweeters have the same plug protocol as the non JBL Entune Premium, the plugs for the door speakers are different than the tweeters in the Tacoma. I'll take a picture in a minute.

I agree with this. @Mr Marv is extremely knowledgeable & helpful when it comes to this.

I don't think anyone has done this yet so try it and see?

Focal audio actually makes a complete plug n play speaker upgrade for back and rear and tweeters

Yes, but expensive, quite a bit more than using the free adapters from Crutchfield.

You'd still need to buy the tweeters, but this looks like it would bolt right in. It should plug directly in as well, the Metra speaker adapters for that model of Subaru are the same as the Toyota part.
