Hey Grumpysedc, how does it ride without the air dam? I see that you took it off. I heard that dam helps in highway driving, etc.

I'm hoping to run this setup soon enough. Ordered the rims from Olathe Toyota yesterday, even after shipping charges they were $50 cheaper than what my local dealership would charge after taxes. My cousin is working on getting me a deal through his job on 265/70 wildpeaks, SL load. Apparently a tough tire/size to find.

OP do you have wheel spacers on there? It kinda looks like a wide stance for those wheels.

    Looks great though, gratz.

You lose like 1mpg, if that. I’m planning to take mine off after a couple more fill-ups, then benchmarking before and after mpgs.

I bought a set of 265-70-17 wildpeaks for my 2017 double cab trd sport when I took them to get installed on my oem wheels they tried one and said tires were too wide and would probably rub on the uca.any one else have this problem. thanks.

Sounds fishy. I know there's other guys in here running that size on a sport and I figured the only rubbing on most models would be on the oem front mudflaps. Maybe someone else can chime in. Possibly try another shop as well.

I know that's why I bought them I was not there when they mounted the one tire .they called me and said they could not get a finger in between the tire and the uca.

The screws there are the factory ones holding on the fender flare and I just used a hole punch to poke through the flap itself. Once you get one front or rear made, you can use it to mark the other side. Some have added more screws but I haven't had any problems with the two on the front and 3 on the back after ~2yrs and 26k miles.

I have the falken wildpeaks in 265/75 and they are great with very low road noise (Moreso turning at low speeds due to the aggressive edge of the rubber). Been through, mud, snow and rocks...still kickin...see profile pic
