    Trying to figure out the advantages of putting upper control arms on with a new suspension package. I thought they were recommended with all 3 inch lifts but icon doesn’t supply them with their stage two.

    They allow the lifted suspension to maintain proper camber and caster geometry. Also, in the case of ball joint aftermarket UCAs, they usually reposition the ball joint at an angle that does not bind during wheel travel.

    They're recommended closely approaching or anything above 2.5" of lift.

    As mentioned above, they help the truck not wander on the highway. A lot of people mention that they spend a lot of time on the alignment machine after installing a 2.5"+ lift with stock UCAs. Me personally, I like to drive my truck and have the peace of mind not wandering at highway speeds or spending a lot of time in a shop.

    Get UCAs and enjoy your truck. Do it right the first time; buy once, cry once. My .02

    Tundra 5100s F+R, OME 880s+890s, duro bumps, etc
    So if you only wanted 2" or less, would you still need to go this route?
