    Hello friends,
I've been reading posts about the infamous P0705 trouble code as my 2012 taco with only 15k miles recently threw it.I checked the main wiring harness and junction block by the drivers side kick panel and found no evidence of water contamination.I couldn't buy dealers diagnosis and fix of replacing those parts at 2plus grand.I crawled under and took off the park/neutral switch(transmission range sensor) .Upon inspection of the electrical connector i saw signs of water damage and noticed the wire loom was about one inch short of reaching the plug, exposing the individual wires leading into the plug.I electrical taped the gap, then sprayed with rubberized undercoating to make sure.I sprayed contact cleaner on the inside of the plug and reassembled. This fixed the issue with my taco.Hope this may help someone else.
