For anyone with a light bar in your lower valence, where did you mount your license plate? Damn I wish we didn't need a front plate here in VA.

I haven't run a front plate since I got my truck in the summer of 2014. Never been pulled over.

I could take the risk but I would rather not considering I've got to report even a traffic ticket to the Virginia Bar.

Ahh, nice to see at least 1 lawyer following the law. :D

You might be able to buy/make some kind of license plate bracket to sit lower/higher so it doesn't obstruct your light bar. Or you could get one of those flip kits so you could at least use it when offroad.

Hey one of us has got to try to keep some sort of reverence for the law haha.

That's a good idea Boogie. I've been looking at the license plate relocators they sell on here, just don't want to spend that $30 if I don't have to.

Didn't run a front plate on my S2000 for like 10 years and took the ugly bracket in the Taco off immediately and put in those bumper plugs....but, neither is my daily driver. FWIW, none of them have failed inspection for the plate being missing. But, on my beater I do run a front plate.

One option is stowing it in the front windshield...not a fan of that personally, but if I did have to put one on the truck I'd probably look into this or something like it:

@Handoverfist Glad you made it out Mustafa. For a stock 17 TRD Sport, I was impressed how well it did on some of those hills with only street tires. Good skills!

@3pooches Chris, it was great to meet ya. Your long travel tacoma looks so bad ass. On some of those trails when you were behind me, I think I was watching it in my rearview mirror more than where I was going in front of me

@chiefcrunchy Brian, I believe you had get the "most interesting day on the trail" award. Glad you brought the chainsaw.

@ready6delta Jacob was our squadron leader. Thanks for that (and, of course, for the old clap avoidance story). Was so relieved that you waited until Cecilia & Cody walked up the trail to tell it.

@Cody23 Great meeting you and Cecilia! She was just like one of the guys yesterday. Sweet truck! The winch got it's first workout on the downed pine tree.

Flags at half-staff....geez, between this news and all of the Subaru mod talk, this thread is almost depressing

lol I'll still be around lurking like @TacoCat haha

and I'll still roll out to meet ups, mod days, and trail runs (in the 4Runner)... I'm keeping all my recovery gear and probably gonna toss a winch on it here pretty soon
