Removing factory trifold tonneau cover and mounting posts

    Factory roof rack, bed extender Extang Full Tilt Tonneau
    I'm considering getting a 2016 double cab short bed, it comes with the factory installed trifold tonneau, which personally I don't like that much. It looks like it has mounting posts that stick out from the inside edge of the bed rails that the cover latches to. I couldn't tell if these could be removed or not and the dealer didn't think they could be. Anyone have any idea if they can be/how difficult they would be to remove?
    If they are removeable, I likely will be reselling it, located in upstate NY if anyone wants to buy it..

    Its really easy. I traded bed rails with a guy for his tonneau and it took less than 20 minutes to complete the swap.
    Someone would give you a few hundred dollars for that cover and hardware.

    Not to highjack your thread, but I just totalled my 17 with the tonneau cover. I just purchased the same truck in an 18 and the bedrails have no cutouts. Are they scored on the back, or do I need new ones?
